Inkling Free trial

No. 1 When something feels off

Something hasn't felt right for months. Start with what your records already say.

Inkling gathers the records from every office you've visited, lays them side by side and answers your questions from them. You walk into your next appointment with what's written down and clear questions to ask. It doesn't diagnose; it helps you look carefully.

Lab result, March 4

Ferritin 9 ng/mL, flagged low. Earlier result, 2024: 41.

Primary care note, January 15

Patient reports tiredness for three months. Sleeps eight hours.

Dermatology note, June 2

Diffuse hair shedding over four months.

Three different offices. Could these be connected? Ask at my next visit.

No. 2 The problem

Search results know the symptom. They don't know you.

Type a symptom into a search bar late at night and everything looks possible. The page can't know that your ferritin was low last spring, or that a dermatologist wrote down the same complaint in June.

Some of what matters for you may already be written in your records. It's spread across offices and portals, in language that's hard to read, and no one has laid it side by side. That's the part Inkling does.

No. 3 How it works

Gather, ask, then take it to your doctor

  1. Start your trial

Start the 7-day free trial and tell Inkling who the profile is for: you, or someone you look after.

  2. Verify, sign, book a visit

Confirm your identity and address, sign the consent forms and book an intake visit with a clinician. A clinician signs the records request with you.

  3. Gather your records

Inkling requests your records through the national networks, Carequality and TEFCA. Upload anything else you have: PDFs, photos of paper records, discs, faxes.

  4. Ask, then bring clear questions

Describe what you're noticing and ask what your records say. Working out what's causing it stays with your doctor.

No. 4 What you get

Everything laid side by side

  • See every office's notes side by side

Records from every office, assembled into one current history that updates as new ones arrive. It shows what may be missing and helps you request it.

  • Understand what each record says

A plain-language reading of every record, and a summary of your medical history.

  • Tell a new number from an old pattern

Lab results become structured results you can follow over time, so you can see whether a number is new or part of a longer pattern.

  • Ask what your records say about a symptom

Answers come from your own records, and a second check reviews them against the evidence before you rely on them.

  • Hand a new doctor the whole story

Give a new doctor or a specialist access to your profile so they can see your history. You choose who can see it.

  • A licensed clinician reviews your history

Membership includes a review of your medical history by a licensed clinician, and keeps your records requested and up to date as new ones arrive.

A careful answer, from your own records

A made-up exchange. Inkling finds a low iron result that nobody set beside a note about tiredness, says what it can't tell you, and turns it into two questions for the doctor.

You asked

I've been exhausted since winter and my hair is coming out. Is there anything in my records that could be related?

Inkling

A few things in your records may be worth raising with your doctor:

  • Your ferritin, a measure of stored iron, was 9 ng/mL on March 4, and the lab marked it low. Your result in 2024 was 41.
  • Your primary care note from January 15 records tiredness for about three months. I don't see iron tests ordered at that visit.
  • Your thyroid test (TSH) on March 4 was within the lab's range.

I can't tell you what is causing how you feel. These are questions you could bring:

Could my low ferritin be related to the tiredness and hair loss?

Should it be rechecked, and is anything else worth testing?

  • Answers come from your own records, with a second check against the evidence
  • A licensed clinician reviews your medical history

What Inkling won't do

  • It won't tell you what you have. It doesn't diagnose, treat or prescribe.
  • It won't replace a visit. It helps you prepare for one.
  • It doesn't keep a symptom diary. It works from your records.

If your symptoms are sudden or severe, call 911 or your local emergency number.

No. 5 Your own assistant

Ask Claude or ChatGPT what your records say

If you already use an AI assistant, you can connect it to your Inkling records. With your permission, it can read your records, labs, medications, notes and the summary of your history, so it answers from what's written down about you instead of from search results.

  1. Open your assistant's settings and find Connectors, MCP or Tools.

  2. Add a new connection and paste the address.

  3. Sign in to Triangle when it asks.

  4. Choose what it can read or change and which profile to share, then accept.

Said plainly: once you connect an outside assistant, what it reads is handled under that assistant's own privacy policy, which Triangle doesn't control. Connect only assistants you trust. It works only with what's in Triangle and can't change anything at a hospital or clinic.

Disconnect any time in Triangle under Settings → AI service connections, and access stops immediately.

Things you might ask it

  • Line up every note in my records that mentions tiredness, with the dates.
  • Has my ferritin been checked before, and how has it changed?
  • From my records, what should I ask my doctor on Friday?

No. 7 Questions

Plain answers

Will Inkling tell me what's wrong, or what to take?

No. Inkling does not diagnose, treat or prescribe, and it never replaces a visit. It shows what your records say, explains it in plain language, and helps you prepare questions for your doctor, who is the right person to work out what's going on.

What does it cost?

Inkling starts with a 7-day free trial. A card is required, and if you cancel before day 7 you're not charged. After that it's $9 a month, and you can cancel any month; your records stay yours. Membership covers Inkling requesting your records from hospitals and clinics through the national networks and keeping them updated as new records arrive, a chat that answers from your own records whenever you need it, a review of your medical history by a licensed clinician, connecting your wearables, and uploading anything else you have.

What does setup ask of me?

After you start the trial, you confirm your identity and address, choose who can see your profile, sign the consent forms and book an intake visit with a clinician. Then Inkling requests your records, and you can upload anything else you have.

Will it reach all my doctors? What if my records don't say much?

Inkling requests records through Carequality and TEFCA, the national networks many hospitals and practices use to share records. Not every office is reachable that way, so you can upload anything that doesn't come through: PDFs, photos of paper records, discs or faxes. If your records are thin, that's useful to know too; Inkling shows what may be missing and helps you request it.

Can I log my symptoms day by day?

Not as a diary. Inkling works from your records. If you use a device such as Oura, Fitbit or Garmin, you can connect it, and its readings sit next to your records.

Who is behind Inkling, and who sees my records?

Inkling is made by Triangle, and you create your account with Triangle at trianglehealth.com under its privacy policy and terms. Only the people you choose see your profile. Your data is never sold or shared for advertising, everything is encrypted, and your records are yours to delete. Triangle describes itself as HIPAA compliant; the details are in its Trust Center.
